Canadian Blood Services The employees of Mike Moore & Sons Construction have signed up for the Partners for Life program beginning in 2007. We have set a healthy goal of 100 donations for the year. If one donation can save up to 3 lives, then we have the potential to save up to 300 lives.

Partners for Life is a nationwide program that is designed for corporate and community organizations. By joining the program, your organization makes a commitment to save lives by donating blood as a team. The need for blood is ongoing and patients that are treated for such things as cancer, surgery and trauma depend on a stable supply of blood year round, which is why Partners for Life organizations have the power to save lives!

To join the Partners for Life program, your organization will be asked to make 3 commitments:

Your organization will be asked to select a Partners for Life program Champion. He/she will be the main contact with Canadian Blood Services and act as a leader to promote the program and encourage members of your organization to participate.
Your organization will set a donation pledge; your lifesaving goal for that year. As partners, we will provide you with all the tools necessary for your organization to achieve that goal.
Partner corporations are encouraged to allow employees time off to donate during work hours (where and when feasible).

Canadian Blood Services will provide your organization all the tools needed to help meet your commitment and lifesaving goal:

Promotional materials including posters, educational brochures, newsletters and web articles as well as inspirational testimonials
Champion Toolkit including a package of tips and tools to help promote blood donation in your workplace, your organization and your community
Special Appointment Scheduling- CBS will work with your group to make convenient dates and times for your donations

When your organization joins the Partners for Life program, CBS will issue a Certificate of Membership that will act as a visible demonstration of your commitment to saving lives in your community. Your organization will also be recognized annually with a Certificate of Recognition for meeting your lifesaving goal. Other initiatives will be planned that publicly profile your involvement and celebrate your achievements as a partner in this important program. CBS will also track your total donations and provide you with an up to date number so that you can measure your goal.
